The luxury market across Belleville, Quinte West, and Prince Edward County has slowed significantly, with year-to-date sales dropping 39% compared to last year. Half of Canada’s big-city residents would move to a cheaper location, if their careers allowed it: survey

Despite cooling prices in Canada's most expensive markets, high barriers to entry are driving residents away. A new Royal LePage survey reveals that roughly half of residents in Toronto (55%), Montreal (48%), and Vancouver (46%) would consider relocating to one of Canada’s 15 most affordable cities if remote work or local employment allowed. As Royal LePage CEO Phil Soper notes, the math simply isn't working for many buyers in major urban centers, making relocation a deliberate strategy rather than a last resort.
