Canadian Home Prices Fall As Sales Rise To Initial Crash Levels
Better Dwelling
The latest Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) data shows the housing market remains locked in a holding pattern, with benchmark home prices experiencing their first monthly decline in five months. While June sales increased, the market is defined by an influx of supply, recording 97,640 new listings. With prices sitting below the March 2022 peak and matching early 2021 levels, this growing wall of inventory continues to give buyers more leverage and keep price growth in check.
